KVL provided video conferencing for friends and family of the U.S. Military
Ardsley, New York, June 23, 2008 - In honor of July 4th and the sacrifices made by the men and women of the U.S. military, KVL Audio Visual Services, TANDBERG and the Freedom Calls Foundation were proud to offer their video conferencing networks to military families nationwide. Free video conferencing calls will be available to military families at 31 U.S. locations, enabling them to connect with family and friends stationed in Iraq. The events took place on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT.
Through private, 30-minute video conferencing calls, family and friends of military personnel currently deployed in Iraq, had the opportunity to communicate face-to-face with troops located at one of five military installations in Iraq with Freedom Calls centers: Al Asad Airbase, Camp Taji, Camp Fallujah, Camp Victory (Baghdad) and Camp Taqaddum.
"We are overwhelmed by the positive responses we have received from our troops and their families," said Les Lieberman, CEO of KVL Audio Visual Services. "The free video calls are just a small way for us to show how appreciative we are of the sacrifices our men and women in the military are making. What better day to honor them then on Independence Day." |
